Growing up in Woolton you hear a lot of stories about what the Beatles did and where and who with. In this little corner of Liverpool. I'll start going through some of the places around Woolton associated with the Beatles some very well known and others not so here.

1st on the list I suppose would be Mendips Johns Aunt Mimi's house on Menlove Avenue. A nice 1920/30's semi where John lived with his Aunt Mimi and Uncle George from a young age. The house is now owned by the National trust which offers tours of the former Beatles home which has been restored to how it was when John lived there. John and Paul used to bunk off school and college and practice in the small front bedroom with the bay window above the front door. Aunt Mimi didn't fully approve of Johns love if the guitar saying it's all well and good but you won't make a living out of it. John bought her a new house in Poole Dorset in 1965 with just a small amount of the money it made him!
